Dead to the World (Sookie Stackhouse #4) by Charlaine Harris

When cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse sees a naked man on the side of the road, she doesn't just drive on by. Turns out the poor thing hasn't a clue who he is, but Sookie does. It's Eric the vampire--but now he's a kinder, gentler Eric. And a scared Eric, because whoever took his memory now wants his life.

This in sports talk would be called a game changer book for Eric and Sookie. I'll be honest I have mixed feeling about this book. I loved seeing a different side to the viking hunk but Eric being scared and unsure of himself was just weird and at times hard to understand. I guess if I remembered nothing of my past of who I was I would feel the same way but it's still strange. There is some smoking hot scenes with Eric and Sookie. While Sookie is taking care of Eric and hiding him there's also the fact that her brother has gone missing. Jason didn't show up to work and he may be many things but he always shows up for work. This is where we meant the people of the Hotshot community and more were-wolves, and were-panthers, also more Pam (happy dance). There's a scene on page 213 that was sweet and almost heartbreaking at the same time. There is the short but deadly witch wars and just when Sookie thinks danger has past it ends up in her kitchen. Will Jason be changed from the time he was missing ? What's the fallout from Eric and Sookie's time together ? It was another good book in the series and the hottest book so far (at least to me).
